When I hear the word Trabant, images of the Berlin wall and the German divide come to car. The car was first produced in 1957 and discontinued in 1991. Well believe it or not, the Trabant is back and is looking good! Unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, the NT was produced through the partnership of Herpa and Indikar and designed by Nils Poschwatta. The NT is an electric car with solar panels on the roof charging its batteries and allowing the car to travel approximately 250 km on a single charge. While it won’t break any speed records with a top speed of just 120 km/h, the Trabant may just prove to be the next big fashionista’s must have accessory in Europe!
